A few days back, I was attempting to handle a minor rift all by my lonesome.
I had no problem with it till I got to the last boss, who kept wiping the ground with me in my DPS specification. So I figured that tanking was the answer, however without a healer at my back, I could not harm him down enough prior to I fell.
